The sudden violence left three people dead, including the shooter, and fourteen others wounded, casting a pall over the vibrant city.

The first frantic calls to police came at 1:39 a.m., reporting a man actively firing a weapon. Within a breathtaking 57 seconds, the first wave of paramedics and officers arrived, immediately plunging into a scene of unimaginable urgency and beginning to treat the injured.
