A routine Sunday drive on a Virginia highway dissolved into unimaginable horror, leaving a trail of bloodshed and unanswered questions. The incident, initially reported as a road rage dispute, escalated with terrifying speed into a violent mass stabbing along I-495 near Annandale, just outside of Washington, D.C.
The first call to authorities came at approximately 1:17 p.m., reporting a heated altercation between drivers. Before a Virginia State Police trooper could even arrive on scene, the situation had spiraled out of control, erupting in a brutal attack that would claim lives and shatter the peace of a quiet afternoon.
Four individuals were stabbed during the assault, and tragically, one of them – a 39-year-old woman – succumbed to her injuries. The senseless violence didn’t stop there; a family pet, a dog, was also fatally stabbed, adding another layer of heartbreak to the unfolding tragedy.
