THERAPIST BETRAYAL: Special Needs Child ATTACKED!

A York Regional Police investigation has led to charges against an occupational therapy assistant accused of assaulting a vulnerable child in Vaughan. The allegations surfaced on February 24th, when the complainant reported the disturbing incident following a therapy session at their home.

Police allege that during a scheduled appointment, the therapist, identified as 36-year-old Roza Hosseini of Richmond Hill, committed an assault against the child. Authorities believe Hosseini works with numerous clients, raising concerns that other individuals may have been victimized.

In a separate incident, Durham Regional Police are investigating a disturbance at a high school basketball game in Oshawa. A fight broke out at the Durham College Athletic Complex on Monday evening, leading to the discovery of an imitation handgun.

Roza Hosseini, 36, of Richmond Hill, Ont., has been charged with assault.

Officers responding to the altercation attempted to intervene, but two individuals fled the scene. The discovered firearm was later determined to be a realistic-looking imitation, though thankfully, no injuries were reported. Investigators are treating this as an isolated event.

Meanwhile, in Milton, Halton Regional Police are appealing for public assistance following a shooting on Rose Way. On February 21st, residents reported a loud bang, leading officers to discover two bullet holes in a front window.

Despite the damage, no one was injured, and investigators believe the shooting was a targeted incident. They are specifically seeking security or dashcam footage from the area of Britannia Road and Regional Road 25 between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the night of the incident.

York cops are seeking this suspect following an attempted robbery at a Newmarket mall.

York Regional Police are also investigating an attempted commercial robbery in Newmarket. On February 21st, five masked individuals, reportedly armed with hammers, entered a shopping mall but were confronted by security and fled in a waiting vehicle.

Investigators have released a description of one suspect who was seen in the area without a mask: a thin male with dark, medium-length, curly hair, wearing black clothing and white socks. The attempted robbery ultimately failed, and no one was hurt.

These incidents underscore a concerning pattern of escalating events across the region, prompting increased vigilance and a call for anyone with information to come forward and assist law enforcement in their investigations.
