TOURE DROPS BOMB: Arsenal's Title Charge is REAL!

Arsenal currently leads the Premier League, but a recent victory over Chelsea failed to fully impress a keen observer: Manchester City legend Yaya Toure.

Despite a 2-1 win fueled by goals from William Saliba, Jurrien Timber, and a Chelsea own goal, Toure expressed disappointment with the match’s overall quality. He found the reliance on set-pieces – all three goals originating from corner kicks – a concerning sign.

“I feel a bit disappointed,” Toure stated. “We want to see fluid games, passing, attacking, scoring chances. At the end of the day we saw three goals by set-pieces. For a derby, a bit strange.” He emphasized that style of play remains crucial, even with valuable points secured.

Toure believes Manchester City is steadily gaining momentum, pointing to Arsenal’s earlier stumbles against Brentford and Wolves as potential sources of doubt. He questioned whether the Arsenal players were truly expressing themselves on the pitch.

He contrasted Arsenal’s performances with those of his former club, praising City’s composure and control, even in challenging matches like their recent encounter with Leeds. City, he observed, possesses a “calmness, with control, with understanding” that sets them apart.

Toure is firmly convinced the title race will extend to the final weeks of the season, and he’s placing his bets on a City triumph. He confidently predicts they will “finish strongly” and ultimately claim the Premier League title.

The upcoming schedule features crucial clashes between the two contenders, beginning with the Carabao Cup final on March 22nd, followed by a pivotal Premier League match the following month. Toure believes a City victory at Wembley could prove to be a decisive turning point.

He anticipates the Carabao Cup final result will have a significant psychological impact, potentially shifting the momentum in City’s favor for the remainder of the season. Both teams return to league action midweek, with Arsenal traveling to Brighton and City hosting Nottingham Forest.
