Edinburgh's West End UNLEASHES a Creative EXPLOSION!

A new creative haven is taking shape in Edinburgh’s West End, a space born from the vibrant imagination of artist Jessica Anderton. This isn’t simply a shop; it’s a studio where art breathes and ideas take form, a deliberate shift from the commercial successes she’s already achieved.

Jessica’s journey began at Edinburgh College of Art, where she graduated with a fine art degree in 2018. A single piece, titled BAR, ignited an unexpected demand, prompting her to launch her own design business – a venture that quickly blossomed beyond her initial expectations.

While her designs have graced the shelves of prestigious retailers like Fenwick and Harvey Nichols, this new location at 45 William Street represents a return to her artistic roots. It’s a space designed for creation, not just commerce, a place to nurture her original paintings and translate them into unique collections.

Her work delves into the hidden narratives of daily life, examining consumerism and modernity with a keen eye. Everyday objects, often overlooked, are elevated through repetitive patterns, revealing an unexpected beauty in the mundane.

Bold compositions and striking color palettes define Jessica’s aesthetic, captivating audiences and fueling the rapid growth of her design company. Collections like Champagne & Fizz, GIN, and even playful themes like CATS and DOGS, demonstrate her ability to find inspiration in the familiar.

This new studio isn’t intended as a daily retail destination. Instead, Jessica envisions it as a personal space for artistic exploration, offering seasonal shopping events and private studio visits by appointment. It’s an invitation to witness the creative process firsthand.

Each design originates as a hand-painted artwork within her studio, then brought to life through sustainable manufacturing practices in the UK. From oven mitts to pillowcases, her creations are imbued with a commitment to quality and longevity.

“I’m so delighted to have this space on William Street,” Jessica explains. “It’s a dedicated space to create and share my work in a more personal way, inspired by my original paintings.” This studio marks a new chapter, one focused on artistic expression and a deeper connection with her audience.
