ROBINSON: GUILTY OR FREE? Judgment Day is HERE.

A journalist is facing potential fines of up to £2,500 or even imprisonment after a heated confrontation with authorities demanding access to his iPhone.

The incident unfolded when officers requested the phone, prompting a defiant response: “Not a chance bruv… you look like c* so you ain’t having it.” The blunt refusal escalated the situation, leading to legal repercussions.

Robinson maintains his work as a journalist is paramount, claiming the phone contains sensitive information concerning “vulnerable girls.” He argued the importance of protecting his journalistic material during the proceedings.

Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, arrives at Westminster Magistrates' Court, central London, after he was charged with failing to provide the Pin to his phone following an incident in Folkestone on Sunday July 28 2024 when Kent Police officers stopped him under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Prosecutors detailed to the court that the established procedures for safeguarding journalistic material were clearly explained to Robinson. Despite this, the dispute over access to the phone persisted.

This legal battle follows an earlier arrest at Luton Airport. Robinson had just arrived on a flight from Faro, Portugal, when he was taken into custody.

The arrest stemmed from footage circulating on social media depicting Robinson near a motionless individual on the floor at Euston station. The video showed him pacing nearby while station staff attended to the person.

Audio from the clip captured a voice stating, “He f*ing come at me. He come at me bruv.” The speaker then approached a witness, reiterating, “He come at me bruv, you saw that.”

The sequence of events at Euston station, captured and shared widely, ultimately contributed to the legal challenges Robinson now faces.

Robinson had recently returned from a trip to Israel prior to the incident at Luton Airport and the subsequent legal proceedings.
