A quiet London suburb is reeling after a shocking act of violence claimed the life of a beloved local man. Wayne Broadhurst, a 49-year-old binman, was fatally stabbed just yards from his home while walking his dog, leaving a community shattered and searching for answers.

The unthinkable unfolded as Broadhurst reportedly intervened in an attack on a 14-year-old boy and his father. Witnesses say a man wielding a knife appeared on Midhurst Gardens, launching a terrifying assault. In a selfless act of bravery, Broadhurst stepped in, only to become the victim himself.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the area at around 5pm on Monday where the three victims were stabbed. Neighbors remember Broadhurst as a gentle soul, a man of few words who wouldn't hurt a fly. He was devoted to his partner, Ann, who shared her heartbreak online, saying, "I'll miss you for the rest of my life. I wish you were here." His beloved cocker spaniel, a constant companion, is now left without its master.
