The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) announced on Saturday, October 25, that it had handed over five stolen vehicles to South African authorities.
RIB said the cars, a Ranger Rover Sport, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Toyota Rush, Toyota Hilux, and a Toyota Rav4, were intercepted upon entry into Rwanda.
Today, Rwanda handed over five stolen vehicles to South Africa. The vehicles had been intercepted at Gatuna, Rusumo, and Bugarama border posts at different times as they entered Rwanda from neighboring countries.

In a post on X, the bureau said vehicles were seized at Gatuna border with Uganda, Rusumo border with Tanzania and the Bugarama border with DR Congo.

The handover was officiated by Antoine Ngarambe, Head of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau Kigali and International Cooperation Department, representing RIB, and Brian Butana Mashingo, Group Commander for International Vehicle Crime Investigations, representing South African Police Service.
