A wave of grief has washed over Rhyl High School and the community following the tragic death of Angela Shellis, a beloved teaching assistant.

Headteacher Philip Collins, in a heartfelt letter to parents, expressed the school’s “deep shock and sadness” at the news. He described Angela as a valued member of the team, having joined Rhyl High in 2023, and emphasized her unwavering commitment to her students.

Eighteen-year-old Tristan Thomas Roberts has been charged in connection with Angela’s death. The investigation remains active as detectives seek further information.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Morfa area, near the football fields, between 3:00 am and 8:30 am on the day of the tragedy to come forward with any information they may have.
